Who we are
True North Technologies Limited (company number 562612; registered office Suite A2, No. 1 Charlotte Quay, Limerick, V94 TW5E, Ireland), of Unit 4, Kilsheelan House, Shannon, Co. Clare, V14 PP66, Ireland, is responsible for your personal data on myfarmmap.ie. For anything about your data, contact us at info@moregrass.ie or +353 61 708 423.
What we collect and why
| What | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| The map you make: the farm's fields, their names, how it looks | To show you the map as you make it, and to print it | Our contract with you, or the steps before one |
| Your name, email and phone | To take your order, send its confirmation and invoice, and tell you about it | Our contract with you |
| For a present: the name, address and phone of the person it's going to, and your message | To deliver it, and to print your message in the card | Our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in delivering it to the person you chose |
| What you ordered and paid | Invoices and tax records, and to help if something's wrong with your order | Legal obligation (tax records); our contract with you |
| Messages you send us, and our replies | To answer you | Our legitimate interest in helping our customers |
| Whether you asked for news and offers by email, and when | To send them, and to show you asked | Your consent |
The farm's field outlines are public: the Department of Agriculture publishes its parcel map as open data, without names. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
News and offers by email
If you tick the box at checkout, we will email you now and then about myfarmmap.ie and our other products. The box is never ticked for you, every email has a link to stop them, and saying no makes no difference to your order.
Who else handles your data
- Printful, our print partner: makes and posts your order, from its production centres in the EU. It receives the name, address and phone of the person it's going to, your message and the print files.
- Stripe: card payments. Stripe receives your card details directly, and processes some information about your device to prevent fraud; see stripe.com/privacy.
- Google: the aerial photo and the address search in the map maker load from Google Maps, which sees your device's address on the internet and what you search for.
- Mailgun: sends our emails, from its EU servers.
- DigitalOcean: hosts the site and our records, in Amsterdam.
- Whichever courier carries the parcel: the delivery name, address and phone.
- Our accountants and Revenue, for tax.
Where one of these companies handles data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- A map you made but didn't order: 90 days from the last change to it, then it's deleted.
- A map you ordered, with the order: at least six years after the end of the tax year of the order, as Irish tax law requires, so we can print it again and help with the order.
- Your consent to news and offers: until you withdraw it, and a record that you gave it for as long as we might need to show it.
- When we no longer need something, or you ask us to, we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Cookies and what your browser keeps
myfarmmap.ie uses only what it needs to work, so it doesn't ask for consent:
| Name | What it's for |
|---|---|
| mfm_ and the map's code | The key to a map you made, so only your browser can open and change it (90 days) |
| mfm_basket | Remembers what's in your basket |
| _csrf | Protects the site's forms from being sent by another site |
| mfm_preview | Lets our own staff see the site before it opens |
| mfm.work, mfm-on, mfm-back (kept in your browser, not sent to us) | Where you were in the map maker, so a reload comes back to it |
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it (unless we must keep it, for example for tax), to restrict or object to how we use it, or to have it sent to you or someone else. Contact us, and we will reply within a month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Changes
We will update this notice when what we do changes, and change the date at the top. What you agree to when you buy is in our terms of sale.
