2. These terms
These terms apply to everything you buy on myfarmmap.ie. Please read them before you order. Your order is covered by them as they stood when you placed it, and by what the site and checkout showed you then. If you are buying as a consumer, nothing in them takes away your rights under Irish law.
3. What we make
- You make the map on the site: the farm's fields come from the Department of Agriculture's parcel map (LPIS), and roads, rivers and houses from OpenStreetMap. You check the fields, split them along hedges, name them and choose how it looks. We print it as you made it.
- The preview shows how it will print. The PREVIEW marks across it aren't on what we send.
- The map is a picture of the farm, not a survey. It doesn't show legal boundaries, ownership or rights of way, and a field's area is the Department's figure or worked out from its outline.
- Each thing is made to order for you by our print partners, who print it and post it to you.
4. Your order
- When you pay, we email you an order confirmation with a VAT invoice. That email is our acceptance of your order and makes the contract between us.
- Every order waits until 9am the next morning (Irish time) before it goes to be printed, unless you ask for it to go straight away. Until then you can change it, or cancel it for a full refund, by replying to the confirmation.
- If we can't make something you ordered, we tell you and refund you in full.
5. Prices and VAT
- Prices are in euro and include Irish VAT at 23%.
- The price you pay is the price shown at checkout. If we've made an obvious mistake in a price, we contact you before printing anything, and you can cancel for a full refund.
- A discount code works as described where it was offered, until its end date or until it has been used as often as allowed. One code per order.
6. Paying
You pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay at the checkout. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
7. Delivery
- We deliver anywhere in Ireland. The delivery charge is shown at checkout before you pay, and that is what you pay. Delivery is free on orders of €100 or more.
- Things are printed to order, so they usually arrive within 7 to 10 working days of the order being sent to print. A canvas is made separately and can arrive on its own. A whiteboard can take longer, and we tell you when it's sent.
- For Christmas, order by the date shown on the site for delivery in Ireland before Christmas.
- Every order comes with a card, the farm's map on its front. If you're sending it as a present, your message is printed inside, as you wrote it. We may decline a message that is abusive or unlawful, and tell you. There are never prices in the parcel.
- If we can't deliver within 30 days of your order, you can cancel and we refund you in full.
8. Made for you: changing your mind
Everything on myfarmmap.ie is made to your specification, with your own farm's map, so under Irish consumer law the 14-day right to cancel a distance purchase doesn't apply to it once it has gone to be printed. Until it goes, at 9am the morning after you order, you can cancel for a full refund: reply to your order confirmation or contact us.
9. Damaged, faulty or not what you ordered
- What we send must be as described, of satisfactory quality and printed as you made the map. If it arrives damaged, misprinted or faulty, tell us within 30 days of delivery, with a photo if you can. We send a new one or refund you, at no cost to you, and usually you don't need to send the old one back.
- This is on top of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, which give you a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund for goods that aren't as they should be.
- We can't put right something that was on the map as you made it, such as a field you named or left in, but if you think something went wrong in the printing, tell us and we'll look at it.
10. Your map
We keep the map you ordered, so we can print it again for you and help with your order. The field outlines are the Department of Agriculture's (LPIS, CC BY 4.0) and the roads and rivers OpenStreetMap's (© OpenStreetMap contributors); the map credits them as their licences ask. What you buy is for your own use.
11. Our responsibility to you
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care.
- We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, and if you are buying for a business, we aren't responsible for loss of profit, business or opportunity.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law.
12. If something goes wrong
Please contact us first; we will try to put it right. If you are a consumer and we can't agree, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie) can advise you. These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts can hear any dispute.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on the site when you placed it. How we handle your data is in our privacy notice.
